Familiar

Familiars are small animals indigenous to the surrounding lands that your equine can form a special bond with. This bond allows them to communicate with each other telepathically and see through each other's eyes. A familiar can only communicate with his or her bonded equine companion. The relationship between an equine and their familiar is one of the strongest imaginable, and one of the most beneficial as well. Familiars can help their equines in times of distress or if they are in a fight. When a horse first gets his familiar, their bond is weak. They cannot communicate if there is too much space between them. They are only allowed a distance of a mile or so in the beginning, as their minds are not fully linked. A familiar is also less likely to be as loyal to an equine in the beginning as they are later on once their relationship has developed. Every familiar has their own personality, and it is up to the player to role play them out. There is a limit of one familiar per character, and only two familiars per account.
